How Laughter Coaching collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiry details you choose to give us through the contact form: your name, organisation, email, phone, and anything you write in your message.
- Site-usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we never sell your information.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry and plan your session, to provide and improve our services, and (with your consent) to understand how the site is used so we can make it better. Our lawful bases under POPIA are your consent and our legitimate business interest in responding to you.
Cookies
We use essential cookies that make the site work, and optional analytics cookies that are only set after you click Accept analytics on our cookie notice. You can decline analytics at any time and the site will work normally. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload.
Who we share it with
We use trusted processors to run the site: Netlify (hosting and secure form submissions) and, with your consent, Google Analytics (usage measurement). These providers may process data outside South Africa under their own safeguards. We share your information only as needed to provide our service, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to assist you and for reasonable business and legal record-keeping, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.
How we protect it
The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection, and we work with reputable processors. While no online service can be perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do so, email shareen@laughtercoaching.com. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
